"High in the mountains of Mexico is a city of courtyards, cobblestones, and secrets waiting to be revealed. A city where one visit can change your life. San Miguel can seem almost unbearably beautiful. The churches whose roof tiles curl like the wings of fallen angels, the houses whose colors are pulled from the Earth¹s core-lava reds and sulfurous ochres."

WELCOME
The Visual and Performing Arts program in San Miguel de Allende began in the summer of 2005 and continues each summer in mid July to August. We are certain you will be inspired by exploring this magnificent town, which comes to life through its unique flair of open markets, art galleries and live performances.
The visual arts class will convene at the Vista Real Hotel, uniquely situated at a panoramic position above the town. Prior to our trip you can access information about San Miguel online and at your leisure to prepare for your trip. Upon your arrival we will take to the cobblestone streets to complete a visual journal and visit studios. July and August are host to myriad evening events, including an international film festival, gallery openings, art exhibitions, live music, dance and theatre. Students will complete a journal using altered art techniques and writing.
The dance class will be housed in a unique performance space in town. Join us for an exciting exploration of Latin Moves! Learn basic partnering and styling. Improve your confidence and build on your personal style and joy of dancing! We will embrace the culture and history of our host country Mexico. I hope you will join me for this amazing experience, and let us dance together!
